After an absence of six years, Simon’s Town is delighted to welcome back the steam train ‘Clare’ operated by Ceres Rail Company and Atlantic Rail. Our Simonstown.com team mobilised a group of volunteers to help spruce up the station and literally hang out the bunting to welcome the train and her passengers. The highlight of any community event in Simon’s Town is the presence of the SA Navy Band – we were thrilled that they could be there, as were the visitors! Simon’s Town School ensemble was also there and helped add gees to the occasion.
