
Dear Residents and Businesses,
We are excited to inform you that the world-renowned Cape Town Cycle Tour will take place on Sunday, 9 March 2025. This prestigious event will see approximately 25,000 cyclists racing along the breathtaking Cape Peninsula.
The Cycle Tour works closely with the City of Cape Town’s Traffic Department to ensure the safety of all participants, crews, and the public on Race Day. As part of this commitment, certain areas along the route will experience road closures and traffic delays. Traffic officers and marshals will be on duty to manage the day’s events and minimize any disruptions.
Road Closures on Sunday, 9 March 2025 from Westlake to Simon’s Town:

Parking Restrictions
Parking will only be allowed in the designated parking bays along Main Road in St James and Kalk Bay. Please note that you will not be able to leave these areas until the road is reopened to traffic. Any vehicles parked outside of these designated areas or along the road will be removed by traffic authorities at 00:00 on Sunday, 9 March 2025.
