The Stone Doctor enlarges cutouts apertures in existing natural and engineered stone counters to accommodate new appliances. Clean and seal natural stone, core drilling for taps and electrical fittings. Repairs chips and broken counters as well as resizing counters to accommodate your needs & installing small custom stone counters
No work is done in situ. Existing natural & engineered stone counters do not need to be removed, core drilling and cutout enlargement is done where the stone is installed.
Depending on the requirements of the work required the average Approx time is 2 - 3 hours
During the process of cutting your stone counters, dust is generated, this is unavoidable. Our equipment is linked to an industrial vacuum which removes as much dust as possible during the cutting process. Please be advised that although the site is cleaned after the work is completed, there will be dust settling for the following 2-3 days. The residual dust can be removed using warm soapy water and a micro fibre cloth. This further cleaning is not for The Stone Doctor’s account.
The Stone Doctor does not specialise in plumbing, gas or electrical installations. All plumbing, gas and or electrical appliances must be completely disconnected prior to The Stone Doctor cut out teams arrival. (This includes all plumbing connected to sinks and removal of all taps from the counter tops and gas or electrical feed to counter hobs, whichever is applicable)
The Stone Doctor relies on client measurements. A standard call out fee for each particular type of service required. We do require the new device that will be fitted to be on site so that exact measurements can be taken and correct fitting dimensions are achieved. Should additional adjustment to cabinet carcasses will be required, an additional fee will be charged.
