Froggy Pond B&B
Froggy Pond B&B is situated almost on the beach on the route to Cape Point in Froggy Farm, Simon’s Town. It is a coast-path stroll to the penguin colony at Boulders Beach, and to either of two superb swimming beaches. The private veranda offers magnificent views over False Bay all the way to the Hottentots Holland Mountains. Whales are seen from the veranda almost every day between July and November and every evening penguins are seen returning to their nests within metres of your veranda. Ann and Derek Law are ready with a warm welcome and will do their best to make your stay comfortable and fun.
The flat has its own entrance and comprises a bed/sitting room with a double bed, satellite TV and a view over the sea from one window and into your private garden from the other. There is a kitchenette containing a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle which provide limited self catering options. The B&B best suits a couple but an additional single bed can be brought in. The best part of the B&B, however, is the private veranda with uninterrupted views over Frank’s Bay beach and False Bay, the nearest house seen from the veranda is 20 km away. A braai can be put on your veranda if required.
Your car is secure in the off-street parking and, having your own gate control, you come and go as you please. The area is a favorite for joggers, walkers and cyclists and is on the Cape Argus Cycle Tour route, the largest timed bicycle race in the world. Cape Point is 20 km away with spectacular views along the coastal road where baboons are frequently encountered.
Other attractions nearby include the largest gemstone factory in the world only 5km away, organized sea kayak tours - or use our kayak, white shark diving, scuba diving and snorkeling. The Country Club is a 5 min walk away and offers golf, squash and bowls. Simon’s Town is an ideal base for exploring Cape Town and the Stellenbosch wine route but don’t miss out on Simon’s Town itself with its charming waterfront, naval dockyard tours and the historical Simon’s Town museum.
