Sea & Sails has been recommended for good accommodation in one of the loveliest coastal villages
in South Africa.

Sea & Sails invites you to enjoy the fantastic views over the Simon's Town yacht harbour and False Bay. We are centrally situated on the first little hill above the centre of the town in the "historical mile". It is 5 minutes' walk down to the restaurants and interesting shops on our little waterfront.

Simon's Town offers you a unique holiday against the mountain slopes around False Bay. There are several very safe beaches for swimming and at Boulders Beach you will see our very special penguin colony. You can stroll to Long Beach where you may see whales close inshore from August to October or catch sight of the endangered oystercatchers as they fly low over the sands.

During the day take the beautiful scenic drive to Cape Point, and see the tumultuous meeting of the Atlantic and the Indian Oceans. You can also drive over Chapman's Peak - which is one of the most spectacular drives in the world - to Hout Bay, a lovely village on the Atlantic Ocean. This is the world of the southern part of the Table Mountain National Park where you can go for hikes in the forest or stroll amongst proteas and other fynbos vegetation. Also take longer drives to the winelands, Stellenbosch and beyond.

At the end of the day come back to Sea & Sails and enjoy the peaceful beauty of Simon's Town from your patio.

Sea & Sails offers accommodation in two cheerful and bright self-catering units.

ACCOMMODATION

The two-bedroomed unit consists of the whole ground floor of the house with its own private garden and patio. The two double bedrooms (one with double bed, the other with twin beds) and central sitting room all have glass sliding doors onto the large private patio with its spectacular sea views. There is a full bathroom and well-equipped kitchenette, as well as a barbecue on the patio. This unit is ideal for families or small groups. A cot is available.

The smaller unit (2 persons) is a spacious bedsitter with twin beds, full bathroom and kitchenette. It has its own sunny private balcony with views to the Waterfall Hills and side views to Admiral's Beach and Long Beach. Guests are also welcome to relax on the lovely upper patio and use the Weber barbecue.

Both units have separate entrances. External doors are carefully secured. Each unit has its own TV set, and the cooking and barbecue areas are well-equipped. All duvets, blankets, bedlinen, towels and kitchen cloths, etc. are provided and the units are serviced once a week. You really only need to bring your clothes ( and beach towel in summer).
