The
B&B accommodation for two (plus two children who
can ‘camp’ on the patio) is offered when the house is not rented
as a unit. The bedroom is separate from, but within the house and is attractively
furnished with twin beds, antique furniture and original art. It has an
en suite bathroom with both bath and shower and its own small, but private
garden.
There is also DSTV plus PVR so you can watch the full range of TV programmes,
tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, crockery, cutlery and a small
bar fridge. Our excellent breakfasts are served on the ‘Patio with
the View!’
You have the use of the patio during your stay which, with Sunbirds drinking
at the window is sheltered from the summer winds, has stunning sea views
and is perfect for outdoor living, relaxing, and whale watching in season.
It is casually appointed with attractive patio furniture. Sunrises are
spectacular and at sunset the lovely evening colours reflect on the clouds.
A magic circle of sparkling lights illuminates the evenings as you sip
sundowners on the patio.
There is off street parking in our quiet, safe, secluded close.
A short flight of steps lead into the Victorian village with its Waterfront,
shops, restaurants, museums, kayaking and boat rides. A few minutes walk
takes you to the beach, or the train for a scenic ride round the bay.
We are conveniently close to Cape Point Nature Reserve, the famous Penguin
Colony, numerous sheltered, white sandy beaches, (where you can swim with
the Penguins) several excellent Golf Courses, Chapman's Peak Drive, Kirstenbosch
Botanical Gardens, quirky Kalk Bay with it’s working fishing harbour
and quaint shops, horse riding, fishing, diving, hiking and lots more.
We
are an excellent base from which to explore the entire Western Cape area.
40 minutes to the famous Winelands or to Cape Town for a cable car ride
up Table Mountain, a boat trip to Robben Island or a visit to the V&A
Waterfront. A day trip up the West Coast, over the mountains to Robertson
or via the coastal route to Hermanus.
